Microsoft Office 2016 & 2019 support ending - October 2025

On 14th October 2025, Microsoft Office 2016 and 2019 will no longer receive security updates. Your Microsoft Apps will continue to function; however continuing to use these versions of Office could expose you to various security risks.

How will this affect you?

Microsoft will no longer provide bug or security fixes for Office 2016 and 2019 vulnerabilities. These fixes and updates help protect your device from harmful viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

Software updates will no longer be available from Microsoft Update.

Microsoft will no longer provide technical support via phone or chat.

There will be no further updates to support content and most help content will be retired.

What are your options?

We recommend that you upgrade your Office software either to the latest standalone version or subscribe to Office 365.

Standalone version

You will be able to purchase standalone versions of the new version of Office. Prices will depend on the version you require. The major disadvantage to purchasing a standalone version is that it will eventually go end-of-life.

Office 365 Subscription

Office 365 is a subscription based product and if you are already using this for your Office licencing, you have the most current version of Office and will receive the latest features to your office apps.

Enjoy the latest version of Microsoft Office - as long as you are in an active subscription you will always have access to the latest security updates and patches.

The installation of the replacement CCTV was completed with minimal issues. Everything from the cabling to the final configuration of the cameras was completed professionally and on schedule. This has enable key staff to view live footage on their iPads while in school on the move. This has massively increased the safeguarding aspect as staff are able to locate students quickly and deal with any incidents that happen during the school day.
