The Thai floods have not only caused untold misery for the people of Thailand, they are having far reaching implications for technology vendors.
It’s incredible to think that around 45% of the world’s Hard Disk Drive plants are located in the affected areas and have had to close. This is causing prices to rise and massive stock shortages. Analysts have told us that the shortages could affect PC/Laptop shipments well into the first quarter of 2012.
